Why 6" & 7" Seamless Gutters Work Best in Florida

  • One continuous run. Formed on site to the exact length of your home, so there are fewer joints that can leak.
  • 6" carries more water. 6" gutters move more water than old 5" gutters and suit the tile roofs common in Southwest Florida.
  • 7" for big roofs. 7" gutters handle high or large tile roofs and commercial buildings.
  • Aluminum won't rust. It holds up in coastal salt air.
  • Color-matched. Gutters are matched to your home's trim and paint.

Frequently Asked Questions

What affects the cost of seamless gutters in Cape Coral?

Price depends on the total linear feet, gutter size (6" or 7"), number of downspouts, roof height and pitch, roof type (tile or shingle), color, removal of old gutters, and add-ons like gutter guards. We measure on site and give you a clear written quote for free.

Should I choose 6" or 7" gutters for a tile roof?

Most Southwest Florida homes with tile roofs do well with 6" gutters, which carry more water than old 5" systems. 7" gutters are the better fit for large or high tile roofs, steep valleys that dump a lot of water, and commercial buildings. We recommend a size after looking at your roof.

How long does gutter installation take?

Because we form seamless gutters on site from a coil, most homes are finished in a single day. Larger homes, commercial buildings or jobs that include fascia repair can take longer, and we give you a timeline with your quote.

Do gutter guards work with oak leaves and palm debris?

Yes, when you pick the right guard. Fine-mesh guards keep out oak leaves, acorns and most palm debris while letting heavy rain through. Large palm fronds can still sit on top and need an occasional brush off, but you will clean far less often.

How often should gutters be cleaned in Southwest Florida?

Plan on at least twice a year, ideally before and after hurricane season. Homes under oaks, palms or pines may need cleaning every three to four months. Gutter guards can reduce that a lot.

What is the difference between soffit and fascia, and why do they rot in Florida?

Fascia is the board along the roof edge where gutters attach. Soffit is the panel under the overhang that lets your attic breathe. Florida humidity, heavy rain and overflowing gutters soak wood fascia and soffit, which leads to rot, pests and loose gutters. Aluminum or vinyl wraps and working gutters stop that cycle.
